Owner Philip Tussing began his electrical career in 1968 when his father Norm Tussing started Electric Norm, Inc., Phil started as the shop boy. He later worked in Oregon and Washington and for various companies in the Beaverton, Tri-County area. After a decade in another carrier, Phil returned to Electric Norm working as an electrical consultant, estimator and manager.

In 1999 Phil diversified Electric Norm, Inc into becoming a provider of In Home Residential Electrical Services, Solar Electrical Systems and Whole House Generators.

Phil believes the electrical industry’s most important electrical work is in your home. We serve the home owner, keeping their life and property safe from electrical injury or fire. In 2002 Norm passed away and Phil purchased Electric Norm, Inc.

In 2004 he joined Electricians Success Group International co-founded by Patrick Kennedy of Mister Sparky Atlanta. He wanted to improve the company’s efforts in becoming the best electrical service provider. Phil believes his company and dedicated employees play a vital role in protecting the community. Because electricity is invisible and usually reliable most electrical fires and injuries are caused by neglect and omission. People do not realize that electrical systems require maintenance just like plumbing lines. Electrical systems wear out just like a home’s roof. Without regular inspections and checkups electrical systems will fail. This could be a serious event.

In 2001 Electric Norm first began doing solar power systems on homes. Electric Norm teamed up with Portland Company Solar Energy Solutions. With over 20 years experience in the solar industry this joint venture has been an asset for our clients who need solar hot water systems or solar power systems.
